Our point-of-sale system, Toast, recently implemented a new method to pre-authorize credit cards that has been causing a great deal of confusion. When you initial swipe your card with us, it pre-authorizes for the amount of the items that you first order. For each item you add on, the system updates that pre-authorized amount. After closing your tab, this pre-authorized line stays on your bank statement for up to 2-3 business days before dropping off so it appears like a second charge from us.

Rest assured that this line will eventually drop off your bank statement. We have reached out to Toast several times without any luck of a resolution, so we apologize for the inconvenience.
